    Hi fatcat60,

Thank you for using the Community Forums for Vista.

It would be helpful if you can provide more information about the error message, Operating system installed, IE version and the game that you are trying to download.

Please open MSCONFIG from Start -> Start search and provide the information mentioned in it about the system.

Here are few generic steps that you can try to resolve the issue,

Step 1: Optimize the internet explorer settings for better performance by following the link, How to optimize Internet Explorer: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936213

Step 2: Update your browser and Java software.

Download the most recent version of Java and Internet Explorer

Step 3: Adjust the Security Settings in Internet Explorer

    1. Open Internet Explorer and click on Tools near the top of the window.
    2. Select Internet Options.
    3. Click the Security tab, and then click the Custom Level button.
    4. Scroll down near the bottom and under Scripting > Scripting of Java applets, select enable.

Step 4: Check the Java Control Panel

    1. Open the Start menu > Control Panel
    2. Double-click Java.
    3. Click the Advanced tab and select the plus sign (+) next to Default Java for browsers. Make sure the box next to Internet Explorer is checked.
    4. Click OK and reopen your browser.

Step 5: Download and install the game manager Download the game manager now before downloading the games(Only for Big fish games).

     Hope this information was helpful.
