I have Windows Vista Home Basic. With a high speed dialup ISP connection I still can't view videos (i.e. YouTube). I already downloaded Adobe Flash Player 10 but that didn't help the situation. Is there a Vista upgrade that would speed things up? Can't afford DSL, broadband, etc.

    Hello slcLauren,

Dial-up is not fast enough to watch videos from YouTube. So you will need at least a basic DSL service. DSL is fairly cheap. AT & T and Juno, have plans

starting at 20 dollars a month with no contract (month to month) or contract which will save you some money. Here are some plans from each of them. Links:

    AT&T-DSL

you will need to enter some info. to check service coverage in your area.

Juno   http://www.juno.com/  you will need to enter your phone number in the Broadband box to see if they have coverage in your area.

You will have more companies in your area to check with I am sure. Hope this helps you. Let us know either way. Make it a great day!

Even basic DSL is too expensive for my budget at about $25/mo but thanks for the heads up. My ISP charges went from $9.95 to $14.95/month which already stretched my resources. A DSL hookup is out of the question. All this computer technology is now getting beyond my income. I went a long time without a computer, guess it's now time to get ready to unplug again and get back to basics.
