Now it looks as though my entire system has been destroyed, and when I try to contact Microsoft, it looks as though I have to pay $72 Australian, just to get them to speak to me. Hardly seems fair, it was their pack that crashed my system. Anybody have any idea of what to do to either restore my system (without using reboot disks), or does anyone know how I can contact Microsoft without paying (since this is not a problem from my side). Any suggestions would be appreciated. In regard to what happened, it went through the entire process of installing the service pack, but when it shut down for the last time, the computer started up with a very simple beep and then nothing, blank screen, no warning, no prompt, nothing.
Thu, 26 Nov 2009 08:06:16 Z2009-11-26T08:06:17Zhttp://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en/vistawu/thread/0138da5b-1ecb-44fe-bdd9-6e4cf558afd8http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en/vistawu/thread/0138da5b-1ecb-44fe-bdd9-6e4cf558afd8Roger Greenwoodhttp://social.answers.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=Roger%20GreenwoodCanon MF4150 scanner not recognised after November 18/19 Windows Update
I have run Canon MF4150 on Vista 32 without any problems for more than a year - until last week's Windows Update.
