Problem with installing a windows 7 automatic update.
- I am trying to install Windows 7 update KB974431. The download is successful but when I restart my PC to finish installing, I get a configure failure and windows rolls back the configuration. On next start-up, windows asks to install the update again and the cycle happens all over again.
Error code received is C004E050
Operating System: Windows 7

- This should probably help with that, I was getting the same error on Windows Server 2008. The more details shows some of the problem though.
