Hello, when I used the windows 7 upgrade advisor beta it said I need to update the driver for the Intel MEI to make it compatible for Windows 7. I visited the Intel site which said the driver was up to date. I currently use Vista 32 bit OS . It has an Intel DP 965 LT Desktop Board and chipset. If I can not find an updated driver for this device will I be unable to use Windows 7 on my pc ?  Regards to all and thanks for your help.

    brianrhj,

No this means that you can use windows 7.
Except the Intel Management Engine Interface on your computer.

The "Intel Management Engine Interface " is a part of the VPro technology of intel.
This IMEI technology allows to manage your pc remotely.
And is more designed for enterpises then for home users.

On the following link you find the latests chipset drivers for windows 7 32/64 bit.
These chipset drivers should also contain the latests IMEI drivers.

    Does this solve your problem?

    Kind Regards

Hello, I have the same problem with Intel DG965WH motherboard.  I have been searching the web to find the proper drivers and I have had no luck...
    However, I've found this announcement.
    http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-008326.htm

So one thing that I have found is that there is no way to find that...

Hello Clay , Thanks for your help. When I installed Windows 7 Ultimate  full version and installed it, the MEI heading in the Device Drivers section disappeared!! I don't know if it is now called something else but it has definitely gone from the list. So if its gone it must be ok lol , regards, Brian.
