Hi everyone,
This seems that never ends, now it´s the cbs.log file that says access denied.
Ok, after installing successfully (and finally) the vista sp1, i ran once again the chkdsk and the sfc/verifyonly to check if everything was ok, like it was before i´ve installed the sp1, wich has been: no errors found, no damaged files no violations of integrity, everything just seemed fine to me, but now, after installing sp1, the sfc/verifyonly says that the Windows Resource Protection found integrity violations and details can be found at the cbs.log file, wich i've been able to access it so far but now when i try to open it it says "access denied" - What happened in between that made the system go like this and can it be fixed?
Anyway, desperate i tried a sfc/scanow hoping that it would solve this issue, this "thing", well in fact it reported that the Windows Resource Protection found and successfuly repaired damaged files and details could be found at c:\windows\logs\cbs\cbs.log, but like i said before when i try to open that file it says access denied.
So i rebooted my pc hoping that everything would be ok, since the sfc/scannow said that the files where repaired, so i thought. Unfortunately that´s not the way it is, after rebooting i ran the sfc/verifyonly, just to confirm that everything was in fact ok, well it reports once again that Windows Resource Protection found integrity violations and details can be found at the cbs.log file.
At this time my computer seems to be working just fine, besides that offcourse, the problem is that i´m feling completely lost here with this "thing", it just doesn't feel right and probably it's just me, maybe i´m too picky about these kind of things, everything has to be running ok so i can be at rest with myself, please can anybody help me out with this, can anybody explain me what's happenning so i can understand it?
I guess that the worst of all, at least for me, is not knowing what's going on, it´s like i have this, i would even dare to say obcessive, need to understand not just the solution but most of all the cause of it, it´s mechanism, i need to understand the process, dont´t u all?
Pleeaase help.
Be well
