Now can't do anything else how do I bypass this?My daughter purchased a new laptop and was told to wait for me to get recovery disks and set up parental controls before getting on it.  I told her it would be a couple of days.  Her other computer was working, however, she didn't wait and proceeded to set herself up as administrator and toodle around on it before I knew what was happening. She was also on internet without permission.  So I renamed a user that she had loaded for internet access at a place where she babysits, made a new password that was accepted and one that I wrote down.  When I went to do something else later it wouldn't take the password.  I also didn't know about making a password disk until after the fact.  I can't do a recovery because it is admin only and it won't accept mine.  Any ideas how to get around it and reset it?<br/>  Wed, 25 Nov 2009 00:21:46 Z2009-11-26T02:00:28Zhttp://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistasecurity/thread/f553168b-300f-4c5e-94bb-a029fa15ad53http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistasecurity/thread/f553168b-300f-4c5e-94bb-a029fa15ad53belindaqshttp://social.answers.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=belindaqsI need your help. I forgot my administrator password.I can log on to my laptop using standard user account. My problem is I can't change any security settings, tune up and download any program, because somehow the administrators password has been changed and forgotten and I don't have a password key flash drive. Please I need your help.  I'm not knowledgeable enough to troubleshoot computer.  Is there any way to recover or reset a new administrator password?Wed, 25 Nov 2009 04:20:45 Z2009-11-26T02:00:36Zhttp://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistasecurity/thread/576b8a95-7241-4ec5-962c-1d57153f5e9bhttp://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistasecurity/thread/576b8a95-7241-4ec5-962c-1d57153f5e9brusskat46http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=russkat46I am about to instal adobe reader 9 .
