Hacked and Hijacked computer problem will not resolve, eventhough I've purchased new equipnment 6 times now.
Ideas:
- My computers keep getting hijacked by remote procedure calls, remote ad hoc connections, etc. I now have a 5 day old laptop, and already I've had to reload it back to factory settings twice. The latter one was today. A service control manager starts modifying the permissions and starts shutting down the microsoft system attributes one by one as well as takes control of the firewall and Norton programs. I will be left with yet another riddled piece of plastic and metal. So far in the past few hours I have in excess of 600 application events in the log. This has been going on for almost a year and I have had professional firms attempt resolve to no sucess and I cannot move beyond this. Also, because of the nature with this abuse and the costs related thereto, I will be prosecuting this individual to the fullest extent allowed by law. I have filed a cyber crimes report with the FBI to no avail, and I have also filed one with the SF police department. I have purchased more than 5 computers throughout this period, attempting to start fresh but it decimates every computer.

Hi T Cameron,
Welcome to Microsoft Answers.
Hijacking on the computer happens when your computer is infected by either Malware or Spyware. To make sure that your computer is not getting infected with the virus, I would like to ask you few questions which would help me to identify the issue.
· Have you created an image of your operating system and are you trying to restore it?
· Have you taken a backup of your files after the Computer was infected and are you restoring it back after you reload the operating system?
· Do you leave the Computers connected to the network while reloading the operating system?
· Are you using a System Recovery CD / System Recovery partition provided by the Computer manufacturer to put the Computer back to the factory settings?
With whatever information you have provided, I could suggest that you perform an online safety scan using the Microsoft Windows Live One Care program from the link below:
http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm
NOTE: Click “Full Service Scan”, to download the required components for the scan and then start the scan.
Also, to get a better protection, you may install a 60 days trial program of Windows Live One Care for offline protection as well. You may download the program from the following link:
http://onecare.live.com/standard/en-ie/install/install.htm
You may also run the Malware scan on the computer from the given link: Malicious Software Removal Tool: http://www.microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.aspx
If the above information does not help you fix the issue, please revert back to us with the answers to the above asked questions, so that we can help you better.
