Does "scannow" ever need to be updated ?

  Wether it be a Windows update or something else?
  So the scannow never has to be updated no matter what ?

  It is hard to say without knowing what exactly you are talking about.

  Are you talking about Windows Defender, your Anti-Virus, the system file scan (sfc /scannow) or something else?
