I doubt that this could be a Microsoft Security Essentials issue. What is your current AV program?

Vuze is one of those Peer to Peer clients or in short P2P it was also called as Azureus; an open source bit-torrent application. It also has the ability to stream and play media files from the network, locally or from the internet. It is likely possible that it could either be a bug in the program against your AV while its downloading then a sudden ending of the program.

You are posting questions about Vuze in various Forums here.

    One post is sufficient.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vuze

    http://azureus.sourceforge.net/

Azureus apparently is now called Vuze.

    They are bittorrent Programs.

You will find help in the Vuze bittorrent Support Forums at the above link.

    Cheers.

    Hi,

I'm a developer at Vuze/Azureus, in fact I wrote the code that shows that message :) It is not a message from any anti-virus software, it is a message that Vuze displays when it starts up if it detects that last time Vuze shut down it didn't do so cleanly. There are many possible causes for this, its main purpose in life is to catch application crashes caused (in large part ironically) by applications that hook into the Vuze process such as anti-virus applications and themselves cause crashes due to bugs in their implementation. However, if you shutdown windows without quitting Vuze first, although Vuze tries to catch the shutdown message and close itself, often this fails and it appears to Vuze that it crashed - hence the warning dialog.

Oh WOW!  How wonderful to see a post from the Vuze/Azureus demigod who actually wrote the code for this message!!^^

I'm receiving this warning message as well and knew that the message was indeed coming from Vuze and not my anit-virus (Kaspersky) program.  ; )

Such a simple answer to try 'first' before moving onto the other possible problems.  (red face)

************************Always QUIT VUZE FIRST and then shutdown windows.*********************************************

Thank-You so much Mr. Developer (at Vuze) for taking the time to come here and post a response to our questions.  =D

Hi, thank you very much for taking the time to answer this query. I have the same issue, but I always stop all transfers and exit Azureus before I shut down my computer. Is there another reason why I still get this message? Nothing appears to crash, although maybe I'm missing something. Many thanks for your help.
