Satellite A305-S6905 Issue: OUTLOOK 2007 Implemented proper settings still unable to send & receive emails
I installed OUTLOOK 2007 back in June of this year. This is an ongoing battle for me and I'm hoping that someone shed some light on this problem/situation. I was instructed to download & install OUTLOOK CONNECTOR and encountered the same problem.
The settings are:
As instructed I use POP3 as account type.
* In the Incoming mail server (POP3) field, type pop3.live.com.
* In the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) field, type smtp.live.com.
My laptop is running Windows Vista Home Premium O/S.
I'm running Office Home and Student 2007.
Email accounts:
yahoo
hotmail
Gmail
windows live
I want to run Outlook 2007 independently for business purposes’.

- The Outlook Connector allows Outlook to connect to Hotmail/Live mail in native HTTP fashion with no need for POP or SMTP settings at all. If you've setup an acount for Live mail that uses POP and SMTP settings, you've essentiallly duplicated the account. How that might work is anyone's guess, however, a duplicate account using a different connection type for the same Live mailbox in the same Outlook profile WILL have some sort of issue(s). If you are using the Outlook Connector, you should delete the SMTP/POP account setings for Live mail and use just the Connector.
