    I am having problems trying to establish an email account through Windows (not Live)   & need to know where to find user name & password since it never asked to establish one I put in the one I thought was it & put in another one.  i put in pop & smtp info   help will be greatly appreciated

    Usernname and password are established by your ISP, your Internet Service Provider ( the company that hooked up your cable ).
    Your ISP will have all infos necessary to set up your e-mail account. It might even have a website to show you How-to.
    I can help you set it up if you tell me who is your ISP.
    You still need your username and password from them, but don't disclose them to anyone.

    Above link has an easy to follow Guide for setting up Windows Mail.



    Contact your ISP(Internet Service Provider).

    They provide you your Broadband/Dial-up connection.

    Ask them for:

    username
    password for your Broadband/Dial-Up Account with them

    incoming mail server POP3
    outgoing mail server SMTP

     

    The above info is required to set up Windows Mail.

    ISPs are normally happy to help you set up your Email Account.
