When selecting any Live365 station, just get a beep sound. Three different computers with the same problem (XP and Vista). However, all 3 have IE8 with same default security settings. I have also contacted Live365 support for resolution and awaiting their reply. Live365 works on other media players, just not Windows Media Center on PCs or extenders.

    Hi Ray,

    Welcome to Microsoft Answers!

        * Did you recently make any changes to your computer?
        * Did you try with some other third party browsers?

I would suggest you to remove the Live365 link and add it again to the Windows Media Center and check if that works.

       1. Click Live365.com under Music + Radio.
       2. Click Genres in the left toolbar.
       3. Click the genre you want, such as Rock. Use the up and down arrows at the bottom right of your screen to see more selections.
       4. When you find the station that you want, click the big Listen button.
       5. There is a plus sign icon at the bottom left of the station's screen with Add to My Radio next to it.
       6. Click the icon, then click Add Link when the prompt appears
       7. This automatically adds the radio station to the Radio section of the main Music menu in Windows Media Center.

If this did not work, I would suggest you to Turn off Windows Firewall and check if you’re able to use Live365.

Disable your Anti-virus software and check if you’re able to play.

If none of these steps are of no help, I would suggest you to perform a system restore and then try to run.

To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

       1. Click Start, type system restore in the Start Search box, and then click System Restore in the Programs list.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your
            password or click Continue.
       2. In the System Restore dialog box, click Choose a different restore point, and then click Next.

       3. In the list of restore points, click a restore point that was created before you began to experience the issue, and then click Next.

       4. Click Finish.
The computer restarts, and the system files and settings are returned to the state that they were in at the time that the restore point was created.

Check out this link which talks about the system restore tool.

I would also suggest you to wait for the reply from the Live365.com

Thanks for the tips. I tried all suggestions. Still no luck. Also, this issue exists on 3 different computers (one Vista Home Premium - Windows Media Center and two XP - 2005 MCE). I will wait to hear from Live365 support.

    Mouneshwar,

I have heard back from Live365 with several potential solutions, all of which did not fix the problem. Made sure appropriate file extensions were associated with windows media player, etc. I am still not able to get to the last screen of the Live365 app that shows the song title and plays the audio. I am stopped at the screens that show channel listings, and get a beep sound when any channel is selected. Could there be any security options that I need to change? Is it possible to reload the Live365 app for Vista? Should I reload windows media player? Any other ideas?

    Thanks
