Snipping tool will not allow Save As
It opens and lets me select the image I want to capture but when I click on Save As nothing happens. It has always worked fine in the past. I recently installed SP2 on my Windows Vista Home Premium but I am not certain when the tool quit operating properly. I tried to re-install the Tablet PC to see if it would correct and it did not help.

- Hi,
Try Right Clicking on the Snipping Tool and RUN AS ADMIN?
If that works - Right Click on the Icon - Properties - Shortcut tab - Advanced - check Run As Admin.
You should also run SFC and Checkdisk.
Do these to clear corruption and repair/replace damaged/missing system files.
Run DiskCleanup - Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Cleanup
Start - type in Search box - COMMAND find at top of list - RIGHT CLICK - RUN AS ADMIN
sfc /scannow
How to analyze the log file entries that the Microsoft Windows Resource Checker (SFC.exe) program
generates in Windows Vista cbs.log

Then run checkdisk - schedule it to run at next start and then Apply OK your way out then restart.
