- I have this error code for CD drive in my laptop2 people need an answerI do too

- Hi,
Code 19 means there is a driver conflict such as two devices trying to use the same resources.
Try this - Control Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click the device - Driver's Tab - click
Update Drivers (this will likely do nothing) - then RIGHT CLICK the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
this will refresh the default driver stack.
Normally the above will fix that issue if not work your way down through these even if you have done
them before.

yes-silly question. ok well I did that already and it still doesn't work. I will try the other options. Thanks. - did you find a solution? I am having the same problem but I can't seem to get the driver to update. this is irritating!
