I'm having a problem with Vista and third-party fonts that I purchased and used on a previous computer. Examples -- Centurion, Cymbeline, Marquis, Potsdam. In Vista they come up as 'restricted' though they're not supposed to be. Have downloaded them again from the site and reinstalled and they still show up as restricted, though they're sent to me as 'installable'. The files show up as restricted even before I install the fonts. This is something to do with my computer, but I can't imagine what.

    Hi Mackeever,

    Welcome to Microsoft Answers.

    • Which edition of windows Vista are you using?
    • Are you logged in as Administrator when you try to install the fonts?

Using Third Party Software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the use of Third Party Software can be solved. Using Third Party Software is at your own risk.
