satellite l305d-s5893 won't come out of hibernation
whenever i let it sit for awhile (10+ minutes) it goes into hibernation and the only to get it out is to restart the laptop.sometimes it takes 3-7 restarts for it to come on. If the laptop has been off for hours, i have to restart it 3-7 times before it comes on. I have removed the battery, held the power button for 30 seconds, connected the charger before starting, turned on/off the wireless toggle switch before starting and a combination of all of the above. I've had this laptop for about a year and have had this problem since day one. the Fkey for hibernation only shows that its in the on mode and doesn't switch off. My girlfriend has a Satellite, too and on hers you can toggle to turn hibernate off from the Fkey. I have updated the BIOS and tried to change the way to wake the laptop in the BIOS. nothing has worked.
Please help. I am tired of having to restart my laptop every time it goes into hibernation.

- Hi,
It is "possible" that a battery issue is present. Also try this if you have not done so. Remove the A/C power
from any powerstrip or UPS and plug directly into wall. Please turn off computer so when you plug it back
in the whole powergrid adapts. Some Powerstrips and some UPS have been known to cause charging and
hibernating issues.

- Hello eweatson918,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers Community.
Are you trying to turn hibernation off?
- Click Start Orb > type cmd in searchbox
- Right-click cmd in search results above
- Type powercfg /hibernate off
You can toggle hibernate using on or off
Hope this helps

- cant you turn off hibernate with the powercfg -hibernate off???? Anyway, that was checked earlier. Is there any logic to trying a different battery? Can you test the battery you have to make sure its not preventing the screen from turning on at startup??????
