- So far from my personal troubleshooting of it, its a bug in the driver.....it is not a virus, something they like to spam in forums, I say this because ive had this error straight out of box, the second time i turned on my gateway nv52 laptop with windows 7 I bought last week. .........BSOD Acedrv08.sys Page fault in non paged area , so it wasnt a virus issue. Ill keep this forum updated because so far tech support from gateway has been useless. Brilliant laptop but a pain in the ____ for an out of box issue. Im currently searching for patches in various places and am working to solve the issue. Apparently the driver is associated with authentication certificates for programs, however page faults are page file issues, aka HDD space set aside to function as ram. A wild guess so far is that the system goes nuts when that driver is moved from RAM to non paged area......this is a total guess so dont hold me to any criticism just yet.
Ill keep whoever has the same problem updated on it, i should have this solved within the next 48hrs if there is a patch out there, if not ill notify gateway with my findings in hopes that they will actually do something about it...
My specs
Gateway NV 52 series laptop with Windows 7 home premium 64bit
4GB RAM
320GB HDD
ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics ..........all that for 479.99 :-D
