    HI. have a problem with Event ID in Windows Vista, because when appears this error with de Event ID 2017, my 3 pc with windows xp, can't access for network to my windows vista.
    In the network I have 3 pc with windows xp pro, 3 windows vista.

    I try to find information about that event and the problem continue.

    what i can to do ?

    Hi Erico Duarte,

     This problem occurs if the Link-Layer Topology Discovery (LLTD) Responder component is not installed on the Windows XP-based computer

     

    Check the below link and Install the Hotfix which is listed in the link to resolve this issue.

    Also this can be caused because of third party Firewall settings, you may try to shutdown the third party firewall, except the Windows firewall, the stability of the network might improve.

    Try booting in safe mode and verify if able to see the network can be seen and check if network discovery is turned on and file and print sharing is turned on.

    Also try to check if you are able to ping the Vista computer from XP and from XP to vista and if they are able to communicate to each other.
