AnswerAlbum art not showing up in library

When using Windows Media Player 11, album art is showing up only in the Now Playing tab, not the Library tab, even when I find the correct album info, with cover art and all. This started happening yesterday. Before, there used to be a lag for applying newly found album art, and right clicking where the art was supposed to go and selecting "update album info" used to work. Now, it's not doing that. Any help would be great. Thanks

    Hi MBII,

You can try the following steps and verify if it fixes your issue.

    Open the Start Menu

Right-Click on Computer and select Properties and a new window will open

Select Advanced System Settings on the left under Tasks

Click on Continue in the UAC prompt

Click on the Advanced tab and select Settings... under the Performance area

Under Visual Effects you will see four options to choose from

Select the option Let Windows choose what's best for my computer

Verify that Show thumbnails instead of icons is checked or you can select Adjust for best appearance and press OK

This process may take some time.

If the above steps don’t work we can try a system restore. To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

Click Start Collapse this imageExpand this ima, type system restore in the Start Search box, and then click System Restore in the Programs list. Collapse this imageExpand this imageIf you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or click Continue.

In the System Restore dialog box, click Choose a different restore point, and then click Next.

In the list of restore points, click a restore point that was created before you began to experience the issue, and then click Next.

    Click Finish.

Thanks for the info! I tried your first method, and nothing yet. I'll try the system restore later. I'll let you know if there's any change.

Well either what you said worked [albeit after a slight delay] or my computer decided to stop being an idiot. Either way, album art is showing up in the library for new music I add to it, as well as the now playing tab. Thanks!
