Hi Karthik TP, thank you for your response. I am not getting any error messages just "there are no files on this device, to begin sync files to this device" where normally the songs to be synced would be. WMP recognises the memory sticks name and the size of the files show up on the sync tab but nothing else happens even though I can open up the files and play them using explorer. Iv tried another memory stick since and get the same thing. No changes have been made to the computer since the last time I successfully synced songs from the memory stick 4 weeks ago.I may have done some changes since I found the problem 2 days ago as I followed instuctions on different posts but to no avail. I disabled firewall as instucted in method 1 - no joy, went through metod 2 - nothing. I didnt do method 3 as I wouldnt be a computer shark and be afraid Id cause more problems to the pc. I went through spiritX's link and nothing but when I went into the link at the bottom of his post "nirsoft.net",a driver download, it tells me I need critical updates, costing $30. I didnt download it as my windows updates tells me Im up to date. I hope this sheds more light on my problem, thank you.
