AnswerMicrophone issues, not recording sounds properly

I just recently updated my sound drivers (RealTek High Definition Audio Device) and now my inbuilt microphone does not record properly. I had a look around for what could be the problem, so I right clicked on my volume  control and selected recording devices. The active microphone (inbuilt)'s bar on the right is stuck on high as if there was a consistent loud noise or something (I have pictures to describe what I mean if someone wants me to send them). I plug in my Guitar Hero microphone and it works normal (the volume bar thing at the side varies depending on how loud or soft noise is etc). I am just wondering how to fix this as using the Guitar Hero mic does not allow the sounds from my laptop speakers to record in the clip like my inbuilt one does.

If needed I have sound samples to demonstrate the difference on what the mic was like and what it is like now

Maybe doing a System Restore to a time before
you updated the drivers would be worth a try:

    Using Windows Vista System Restore
