After installing WUA 3.0 v7.2.6001.788 shouldn't it be showing up at the installed updates?
- Hi to everyone,
After a new installation of windows vista business 32 bit, i´ve configured it to "never search for updates" because of several issues that have been happening with my computer causing it to completely failure and it wasn't even being able to reboot, what forced me into a brand new installation of the os.
After some hesitation i´ve decided to make a search for updates but the computer said that it needed an installation of this specific software that provided the search for updates, i guess it was referring to the WUA 3.0 v7.2.6001.788, because that´s the only thing that is showing up on my updates historical after i went on the so needed installation.
At this point my doubt is that, souldn't it be showing up in my installed updates also?
Thanks for all the help u can provide me with about this "thing".
Be well,

- Hi,
If the update 3.0 v7.2.6001.788 is listen under "Review Update History", then it is installed on the computer, otherwise you may follow the steps as below to check in "Programs and Features".
1. Click Start, in the start search box, type appwiz.cpl and press enter.
2. In the left pane click on "View Installed Updates".
Check if the update is there. If it is there, then it is installed on the computer.
It is always recommended to install High Priority Windows Updates.
Hope it helps.
Cheers and Enjoy....:)
- Hi Suzukibiker,
Thanks for your reply, but that´s precisely my problem, as i´ve explained in my last thread, aparrently everything is working ok yet the WUA3.0 shows up as successfully installed in the "Review Update History" but doesn´t show up at all in the "Installed Updates".
One more thing just happened last night while i was updating my computer, the system is configured to search for updates but i decide when to transfer and install them, so last night after rebooting from an update installation i checked the updates historical and there was this, apparently, installed update (KB915597 - Definition 1.63.1021.0) that had never been in the list of available updates and wich i'd never gave any order to tranfer and install it, so i thought that my computer gained live of it's own or who knows it's the net that it´s gainig live too, i'm joking offcourse.
Well it's these computer things that keeps on happenning here and there once in awhile, that get´s me out of my nervs, anyway now i have two updates showing up as installed in the "Review Update History" but no sign of both of them in the "Installed Updates". Is it just like that?
So, if i take it as u said in your reply "If the update 3.0 v7.2.6001.788 is listen under "Review Update History", then it is installed on the computer" i should assume that now i have both of the refered updates installed in my computer, right?
Please Help, how sure can we be of this?
Anyway, Thank u so much for your help and concern on this, hope to see u soon.
Be well,
Pedro Borba - When you open control panel, click on the option on the left side, view installed updates.
All the Best!!!!
