Happy Halloween, I really hate my Dell Inspiron 1525. Maybe you could help me find some solutions to my computers problems. 1st anything I plug into the USB ports is for some unknown reason failing to be recognized by the system. I get a prompt indicating the system has found new hardware and it needs to install drivers for it That never needed to be installed before Ex. My PSP it worked just the other day and now fails to work. I opened up the Device Manager then selected the Yellow yield PSP icon and it says I need to re install the driver so I select the option to do just that and it fails. Please help me I don't know what else to try or how thing became the way they are.

The other thing is my  one year warranty for the hard ware doesn't cover the damage caused by me accidently tripping on the cord coming from the headphone jack to my stereo - all I get is a buzz in one and it is really touchy in the other. Where do I take it so that I don't end up having to over pay to have it repaired?

Thank you and wishing you Happy Halloween too.

The reason for the devices to fail is the drivers. go to the manufucturer's site download and install the latest drivers for the device and that should fix the issue for you.

It is not just one the many that just workede fine days before. I tried to look up the drivers at the various sites and they all said that installing drivers for the divice in question was not needed. I re installed Windows and BAM! everything is fine so far, however through that painful process I learned that there is more then just simply inserting media and fallowing the prompts. Could be so kind as to bring me up to speed in relation to that process so I don't end up going through the same data loss and frustration. I have A Dell Inspiron 1525. Is it also true that if I update to SP2 that my drivers will be obsolete and that it is inevitable that my system processes will degrade?
