You probably tried this via the compatibility wizard, but this worked for folks on Vista: http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=14357

Do you get the error message when you try to install?

What is the text of the error message?

    Hello Bracken,

I tried your answer and it still didn't work. The game tries to start and then say direct x 9 is needed for it to work in Windows 7
