I have a problem.. i have installed vista and have also checked to see if i have directx 10, and it says i do.
However when i try to install games like 'Stormrise' and a couple of others, the setup halts and tells me that i dont have it - the game requires it.

    What should i do?

    Hi Getslinky,

Thank you for posting at Microsoft Vista Community Forums.

This issue may occur if DirectX is installed incorrectly on the computer.

Hence you may have to reinstall DirectX in safe mode.

To reinstall directx in safe mode follow the steps as described in the KB article 256182 which can be viewed at the

    link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/256182

Also make sure that the computer is updated with latest Windows Updates and service packs.

    Hope this works.
