I have a 22 inch wide monitor and Doom3, Tiberian Sun, Armada2, etc. will not open full screen. I've set properties to maximize, but still have the same problem.  Doom3 and Armada2 fill the screen from top to bottom, but there are black bars on the left and right side of the screen.  Tiberian sun runs fine, but it is centered in the middle of the screen.  I've updated to Windows 7 and this appears to be my only problems.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

Some of the games probably don't support widescreen and the resolution of your monitor.  The basic rule is set every game to run at the resolution of your monitor.  Probably 1920x1200 or 1440x900ish or somewhere along those lines.

Tiberian Sun only goes up to 800x600.  Doom 3 out of the box only has options for 4:3 too, and only supports widescreen with some custom options (more here on configuring Doom 3).

If you open the monitor's menu there should be options for fill, aspect and 1:1 or something along those lines.  Fill will stretch whatever image to fill the whole screen, aspect will stretch it, but not change the aspact ratio and 1:1 will be displaying the game in whatever resolution it uses.
