    How to Uninstall Windows Screensavers

Best to uninstall them if you can :

Start - type in Search box ->  *.scr   find at top and Right Click on - DELETE

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

looking for *.scr will show every screen saver on the system.

Well I specifically try to recommend what works well, is effective, and with the least impact on the system as
a positive benefit with the detection being level being the most important issue. That means I try out programs
as they come available, try to stay attuned of issues these cause, and then develop my plan for my personal
use and recommend what I use. Would be impossible to do that with a huge number of programs and others
    have done that anyway.

Years ago I ran one of the largest private BBS systems (7 nodes) specializing in technical issues and I know
how much work it is to keep those type sites current and useful. Also it becomes more of a problem in
promoting one type setup that works without having to deal with a lot of motivation questions.

My main talent is as a troubleshooter, a fireman, and this venue allows me to do that and help others.

    Rob,

If Rich2489 doesn't find the unwanted screensaver in Programs and Features or Revo, he could try searching for it in the C:\Windows folder.  That's where I had to 'hunt down' a screensaver called 'TwilightGL'   Then I pretty much followed the instructions recommended in the second link you provided in your answer.

BTW, I was thinking, with your vast amount of knowledge, tips and useful info, you should consider compiling a list like the one Kit Y made of AV/AM Uninstallers/Cleanup Tools, but make it a comprehensive listing of Security Software.  Hint Hint.  It'd be nice (for me and other users) to have all your helpful links in one place :>)

Wow, I may have just learned more about you in three paragraphs than 4 weeks of Forum threads.  Admittedly I'm ignorant to the business you mentioned running years ago, but can definitely agree that you've found a valuable niche here in MS Forums that benefits a LOT of folks.

Thanks for sharing :>)  You can add 'mediator' and 'facilitator' to troubleshooter and fireman.

Funny thing.  One of the social network sites where I have a webpage asks members 'Who are your Heroes?'  My reply was, 'Anyone whose daily attire includes bunker pants, a flak jacket or ghillie suit!'
