even my internet explorer seems like it's zoomed in, i have to scroll left to right just to see google, my gadgets on the left of my desktop are a lot bigger now also and i can not find how to fix this. i tried going to control panel and personalization, and nothing seems to work

    Hi,

How to Turn Magnifier On or Off in Vista
    http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/125037-magnifier-turn-off.html

Many mice (usually upper right button or middle wheel) and some keyboards have a ZOOM function.

    Control Panel - Mouse    Keyboard

    Hold CTRL  + Mouse Wheel

    Hope this helps.

this doesn't seem to work either, although i'm glad i know this little trick now, thank you.

but it's not my font that's bigger, is like the window is bigger, i can't see all of my tool bars up there anymore because it's like the window it's self has zoomed in.
    oh well, thank you anyway

yes, like i said that is a nifty little trick and i'm glad you told me, however that is NOT the problem. for instance, when i click my start menu, that is so big it takes up half my screen now, my gadgets are so big now they take up a third of my screen now. like i said before, it's not the font that's big, it's the windows and icons.
    i appreciate your help.
