    Hi efesus,

Thank you for Visiting Microsoft Forum.

I would need more information like:

    1. Is it a problem with particular website or all the websites?

    2. What are the programs whose font size is small?

    3. Did you make any hardware or software changes like installing updates etc?

You can surely adjust the fonts of the browser you are using.

    1. Try to optimize your Internet Explorer: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/936213

    2. Steps to increase the system font size (DPI):

a- Right click on your desktop and click on Personalize.

b- In the Personalization window, go to the left pane and click on Adjust font size (DPI) .

c- If UAC is turned on you will need to make an additional confirmation so that the DPI Scaling window will launch. You can choose the default scale of 96 DPI or a larger one of 120 DPI, which makes the text more readable. If these two options are not enough you can click on the Custom DPI button and choose another size (DPI).

d- In the Custom DPI Setting window you can select the desired percentage for the DPI increase. You have the following options: 100% for the normal size of 96 DPI, 125% for 120 DPI, 150% for 144 DPI and 200% for 192 DPI. Just check the appropriate option and press on OK .

e- The change can be applied only after a system restart. Close all the running applications save your open documents and then press on Restart Now . After a reboot, the font size will be changed.

    3. If it is a Firefox Browser , please try the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Open your Firefox Internet browser.

Step 2: Click on "Tools." Select "Options." Click on the "Content" tab.

Step 3: Locate the "Font & Colors" section.

Step 4: Increase the size of your font by clicking the drop-down menu. Click "OK" to apply and close out of the window.

If you are running an early version of Firefox, simply click on "View." Select "Text Size." Select the option to "Increase" the size of your font.

    Internet Explorer Browsers:

Step 1: Open your Internet Explorer browser.

Step 2: Click on "View" from the menu bar.

Step 3: Select the "Text Size."

Step 4: Adjust your font to a larger size.

Let me know if it helps or you need any further help.

Hi Sangeeta, Thank you very much for your respond to solve the problem. Unfortunetly your sugested solutions did not work. The problem has occured in IE,Firefox and some programs in my computer such as my webcam configuration panel, text box in my dictionary, Norton antivirus setting panel, in which font tiny I hardly to read.It is quite weird that some webpage's text box too small in IE8, on the other hand it is not small in Mozilla firefox. But some webpages's all text is too small  in Mozilla firefox. I could have temporarly fixed the small font size problem in IE8, click page tab from left on side of the page then click encoding select either auto select or western europen (windows), the font appear as normal size but when I have changed the page the font are being small again.

No, I have not change any hardware but I could not remember the changed or uninstaled software, because the problem has been existed for 5 months. I was busy with my study so that i could not deal with this problem until now.

    Regards
    Hakan

Did you find an answer?  I recently got a new computer and am having the same problems.  All the websites came in perfectly fine until I switched computers, very frustrating.

No, I have not found the solution, I did everything, have called the microsoft New Zealand, Toshiba, none of them helped unless I pay. I am still looking for an answer the fix the bloody this problem. I found many people who have the same problem, unfortunatley there was not any solution. I supposed highly likely the problem in Vista.

I have just had the same problem that is font too small in text box and some programs in vista especially with my internet explorer and firefox. I have a 64 bit vista home ultimate that has the latest updates and I have tried all the solutions listed here. when you increase the font it increases for a few seconds and decreases to a point that nothing can be read and other programs like word just shrink. I think this should be a problem with vista.
Does anybody know of any solution or fix?

Same problem here.  My problem started after I reinstalled Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit (same as it was originally).  I have installed ATI driver, uninstalled it, reinstalled, updated.  I installed the driver both from CD and from Dell.  Nothing works, although icons on my desktop, and taskbar seemto have enlarged somewhat after I updated my computer performance score.  System Mechanic and Norton Security windows are about half the size they were, and some sites on Internet Explorer 7 & 8 are also smaller, especially games.  The games on Yahoo, Pogo, and Gamesville are too small to play.  The sites are normal, just the games are too small.  I have tried everything.  Even had chat with Dell rep, who tried to help, but said they couldn't figure it out and told me to contact microsoft.  Now I find that microsoft won't help without payment.   I enjoy playing games online, and really hope somebody can help me fix this problem.
