- I did install the flash10 with no problem, by following Adobe advice and doing it from explecite ocx download
It mean
1) download the install exe from Adobe ,
2) close all programs ;-)
3) Install the ActiveX explicetly
4) start IE8 and you should anjoy youtube
I was thinking about rolling back to IE6 - but Imanage to fix it, hope it will work for you.
As a side note, there are some API changes (?) so JavaScript by Adobe was not recognising
Flash already installed, but I do not see that with my IE8 installation anymore
Hope that will help

- Hi,
Just open up C:\WINDOWS\system32\macromed\flash
From there run FlashUtil10b
Or FlashUtil9b , depends on the flash version you have.
If that doenot work :
Tools -> Internet Options -> General -> Delete"and deleted everything. Then, I downloaded the offline installer of Adobe Flash Player from the following link:
Uninstaller : http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/ts/documents/tn_19166/Install_Flash_Player_10_ActiveX.zip
There are major issues with IE8 at thus moment, IE8 doesn't support
flash.ocx files.
uninstall IE8 and go back to IE7 and update it straight away
