Welcome to Microsoft Answers Forum.
You can install Windows 7 in multiple computers. If you buy a retail product key, it can be activated only on one computer at a time. Using the same product key on multiple computers is illegal and after certain period of time, activating Windows is necessary to continue using the operating system.There is another type of product key known as Volume Licensing Key (VLK) which allows a single product key to be used for multiple installations. This form of licensing is typically used in business, government and educational institutions etc.
