Just subscribed to Clear.coms new wireless service and recieved there USB Motorola w25100 modem. Have found it will bring back the screen of death under windows 7. Using a toshiba laptop P205-s6307 with 2 megs of memory and a clean install of RC build 7100. Clear states they dont have the drivers for win 7 but I have seen some people have been able to get it to work. Works on wifes XP laptop. Thinking this is new G4 technoligy is Win 7 going to be capable of this???

    Hello, xosys

Thank you for using the Answers Forum.

If Windows 7 drivers are not available and assuming Vista ones are, you can try installing the Vista drivers.

If that doesn’t work, you may need to right click the installer and choose Troubleshoot Compatibility.

If you still can’t get it to work, it may need updated drivers specifically for Windows 7 and unfortunately you will need to wait for the manufacturer to provide them.

    I hope this helps.

I was able to get my working, but it only works if Windows 7 is upgraded.  In my case I went from XP to 7 and it worked.  I did a full reinstall (not upgrade) later and it did not work.
