I was wondering if I have an installation of Windows 2000 can I use it to install the Upgrade version of Windows 7 as opposed to the Full version. I haven't seen anything saying that I could but when I looked at this page http://store.microsoft.com/microsoft/Windows-Windows-7/category/102 it says this:
    • Running earlier versions?
    • If you have Windows XP or Windows 2000 , you can purchase Windows 7 Upgrade versions. But you must back up your files, clean install, and reinstall your applications.
I just wanted to confirm that I can go ahead and buy the upgrade version of Windows 7 instead of the full version and use it to install Windows 7 on my PC.

    Thanks
